Parent Letter
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As a part of the 7th grade Life Science curriculum, your student is to learn about human reproduction and development. This unit is very important for the current and future understanding of your student about human life, where it comes from, and how we change. The unit will last for two weeks, and will be entitled The “Human Cycle”. There are 98379837498237 components involved in these two weeks, and they are: 1) human reproductive organs and structures, 2) human development from gamete formation to old age, and 3) a field-trip to the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Tampa. This will culminate in a final project on human development that students will be working on throughout this two-week period. The field trip will be expense free outside of a sack lunch, as a grant has provided us with the necessary funds. Also, I understand the sensitive nature of this topic, but it will be approached only in the context of biological information.
I wish for you and your child to be as comfortable as possible with this content, so if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at my information listed below. I will everything I can to make sure each student has the opportunity to learn as much as possible in an environment which is as safe and comfortable as possible. Finally, the projects will be presented on Monday and Tuesday May 24-25, 2015, and you are more than welcome to come and see the presentations.
Sincerely,
Mr. Hartman
